Library Services FAQ: Interlibrary Loan FAQs

For articles, patrons receive an email with an attached PDF.  Copyright usage on journal articles is 30 days. After 30 days,  patrons are required to destroy the copy.  We do not hold copyright on these items and cannot post ILL copies online or share them with other people.

For books, patrons will receive an email indicating that their book has arrived.  Pick-ups are at the FLC main services desk.  Bring your campus ID.  When patrons are ready to return their ILL books, they can be dropped off at the FLC main services desk or to the outside book drops. 

After patrons receive an email notice of the ILL being available, they have 2 weeks to pick it up.  If not picked up, we will send email reminders; and, ultimately, mark the item as unused and return it to the lending library.
