Do you have archival photographs of Bridgewater College people?

Answer

Special Collections hasn’t yet started large-scale digitization of photographs of individuals.  However, some photographs of people can be found in the BC Digital Commons: https://digitalcommons.bridgewater.edu/college_photos/
Search by the name of the person by using the search box on the left of the page.

A limited number of photographs of individuals can be found in the Special Collections Online Catalog: https://bridgewater.pastperfectonline.com/search
Search by the name of the person by using the keyword search in the search box at the top of the page.

Historic people may be shown in the digitized Ripples yearbooks (1922-2016) that match their years at Bridgewater College: https://digitalcommons.bridgewater.edu/college_yearbooks/
Download the individual yearbooks and do a Find All search by name.  You can also check for students’ class pictures, especially senior profiles, and look for images of them in campus groups and athletic teams.  Faculty and staff photographs also appear in the yearbooks.

Earlier historic people may be shown in the digitized The Philomathean Monthly (1896-1925) periodicals that match their years at Bridgewater College: https://digitalcommons.bridgewater.edu/philomathean_monthly/index.html
Download the individual issues and do a Find All search by name.  Look for profiles of seniors appearing in the annual spring senior issues of the periodical.

Additional photographs of people may be available in the archives for use in the Benjamin ’82 & Sherrie ’85 Wampler Archival Reading Room or by request. Email sgardner@bridgewater.edu to set up an appointment.
