How can I learn more about the history of Blue Ridge College?


A great overview of Blue Ridge College appears in the Bridgewater College history book, Bridgewater College, The First Hundred Years:  1880 - 1980 by Francis F. Wayland.  It is digitized here:

There is information about Blue Ridge College throughout the book.  A good place to start is in the chapter on the Presidency of Paul Haynes Bowman, 1916-1946. It can be separately downloaded.

The books, Fifty years of educational endeavor; Bridgewater college 1880-1930, Daleville college 1890-1930 and Brethren education in the Southeast: an account of the educational endeavors among the Brethren people in the southeastern region, 1857-1955 are available in Special Collections.

Bridgewater College Special Collections also holds some archives of Blue Ridge College.  Catalog records for some of them are found here:
