Who was the first African-American student to enroll in Bridgewater College?

Answer

Lessie V. Miller was accepted for admission, but did not enroll, in 1953. Karen C. Weaver Scott enrolled in 1954 and graduated in 1956. An African-American man, William T. Jenkins, was also admitted in 1954, but he withdrew before graduation.
